Self Description: I'm the person my friends call when something falls apart. Not because I always have the right answer (I usually don't) but because I show up. That's just how I'm wired. I like the quiet parts of life as much as the loud ones. Cooking something from scratch on a Sunday, noticing when someone seems off before they say anything, remembering the little things people mention once and think no one heard. I'm not hard to love, I think. I'm just done offering that to people who aren't sure they want it. I want someone who comes home and actually wants to tell me about his day, lets me take care of him a little without making it weird, understands that when I'm invested in someone, I'm really invested and treats that like the thing it is, not something to take for granted. I have a lot of warmth to give to the right person. I've just gotten old enough to know that the right person has to actually be ready to receive it.

Comments: Life is full enough that adding someone to it has to actually mean something. That's where I am. What I want is pretty simple a real relationship with a real person. The kind that includes ordinary days, inside jokes and someone who knows me well enough that most things don't need explaining. I'm straightforward and I take the people in my life seriously.
